Rockwood 2507s Winter Cover - Any Suggestions?

It'll be winter up here in Canada before we know it. Can any of you recommend a cover for my Rockwood 2507s TT? She'll be parked outside and I want her protected from the elements.

The manual says the length of the trailer is 25' 9". I assume that is from bumper to ball and that I shouldn't order a 26 foot cover.

Thanks in advance.

Lots of opinions on covers - yes or no.

This is what I put on my Mini Lite 2503S. (The box is 22' long - see attached.)

82634 ADCO All Climate + Wind Designer Tyvek RV Cover Travel Trailer, 22'1" - 24'

It was bigger than my box, but I'm not sure it would have fit on a 24' box, either.

It's the box it needs to cover, by the way, not the entire length.

I put tennis balls on the rain gutter spouts, but they still wore through the cover. We bought some "repair patches" and put them over the holes the next year, but it wore through them, too, so basically I got 2 years out of it. I got 3 years out of the one I had on my Roo 19.

This year I'm going naked. Like the other 12 or 13 out of the 14 or 15 units in my storage area.

Hope this helps.

Just make sure you don't oversize the cover, if it hangs on the ground it makes a great access point for rodents......

Another thought: More important than the RV cover is the tire covers. The sun kills the tires. With my Roo, I had a set of two covers, each covering 2 tires. I found that the snow got on the covers between the tires, weighed it down, and pulled it off the tires.

With my Mini Lite, I'm using 4 covers, one for each tire. I've got to crawl under 4 times instead of 2 to put them on, but they don't come off. Being in Canada, I'm guessing you would have the same problem I have here in northern Illinois. So my suggestion is to get individual covers vs dual wheel covers.

Sometimes you can get an RV cover deal that includes the tire covers.

I see from your profile that you live in SW Ontario. We live near Ottawa. A whole lot of bandwidth has been used on this forum talking about covers. I was about to buy one when I discovered that there is a thriving cottage industry in INDOOR storage near us. Farmers, RV dealers, builders, anyone with a large building and some extra room is offering unheated storage for the winter. For $500, our baby is staying out of the snow and freezing rain this winter!

We're from Canada and had numerous trailers of all sorts from 5th wheel down to tent trailers over the years. Never covered one, and never needed to. I've also heard bad things about covering them and keeping moisture in.

Good luck with whatever you decide.
