Rockwood 2604 broken water filter

Were out on our first trip of the year in AZ and found that I forgot to empty the Water Pur filter housing last winter and it broke at the top part. I've read online that some people have found replacement canisters at Lowes or Home Depot. Can anyone confirm this and perhaps provide a replacement part number they found????

Thanks
Geg

I would suggest removing what you have and stopping by Lowes or Home Depot. If not I would take a picture of it to show.

You could also contact Forest River and ask for the manufacturer and part number and search that way.

Here is what I think you need from EBay LINK

You can replace it with most any generic
"whole house" filter from Lowes, Home Depot, or any
big box home center store.

Yep, found a Whirlpool model at Lowes that fit perfectly into the top of the filter. Can't believe that thick plastic froze and broke like that, but I guess now I know.

Thanks

I was at Wal Mart tonight and found a DuPont whole house water filter with 3/4" ends for $30 - just putting this out there in case someone breaks the canister and needs a cheap replacement
