Rockwood Mfg Shut Down

Hi All, FYI received this message today:

Due to the recent events in our country, in order to keep all employees safe and to do our part to help stop/slow the spread of the virus, we have decided to shut down until at least April 3rd. If things have improved at that time, a delay of 9 production days is what we will incur – pushing all orders back 9 days.

Thank you for understanding,

Anthony Yoder

Thanks for sharing. Was supposed to have Rockwood warranty work done next week but my local trailer dealer is shut down too due to state requirements (Mass.).

Could be the tip of the iceberg, toys like RV's are the first to suffer when the economy tanks.
I hope better times are coming but it's difficult to be optimistic.
No disrespect intended to people who live in a RV fulltime.

Well it seem then for the next couple weeks they will finally be putting out some quality products . lmao
Just kidding . should have closed a week or two ago as should have the rest of country . the more these closings get staggered the longer this will be drawn out . you think shelves are empty now just wait a month

Our wildcat is at the local dealer, warranty repairs made, notified we could pick it up last monday because service was still open here in NY. Called as instructed and have been told they are completely shut down now! So there it sits with no way to retrieve it! and no one to talk to! could be a while and i have no way of knowing if it's plugged in or not! thank goodness i rewinterized prior to dropping it off a few weeks ago!

I'd try to find the owner's personal land line or cell number. There are ways to do that. Contact him/her and explain your situation. I'm sure they'd work with you so you'd be able to bring it home.

On the other hand, are you planning to use it soon? If not, just ride this out like everybody else.

I know this note went out quite awhile ago, but I though you might have some insight into current production time frames. So my question is, for orders placed now, approximately how long will it take for a unit to be finished?

I am also looking to know how far back the orders are. I am realistic though rather then calling my dealing every week is there a rough estimate on the delays from original expected delivery to new one? even if we are looking at two or three months would just like to know.

For reference I ordered a Mini-Lite 2509S on August 11th. I reached out to the dealer yesterday to see if they had a timeline yet. The informed me that my trailer was being built on October 7th. However, they said the factory is having trouble getting parts so they build them and they sit up to 3-4 weeks at the factory for final parts to come in for finishing touches. He told me I will probably get it the week of November 1st. I am hoping for the week earlier because I have camping reservations on October 30th. We'll see what happens!

Thanks, the dealer told me they are now down to only a week waiting time for most parts shortage and I am not sure when mine was ordered cause it was already on the dealership order list prior to me putting my name on it august 10th. So I am hoping to get mine before thanksgiving (oct 9th). Already had to move my vacation once.

Last month one of the dealerships near me told me it would be a 12 week wait if I ordered a Geo Pro trailer from them.

Well I think that will be longer then that. Just found out the dealer had ordered the one I put my name on for restock back in June/July. I have been calling every weeks as they had said likely next week for the last 4 weeks. I am about to just cancel my plans for this year it looks like it was a bad choice to invest in this option this year.

We ordered 4 August and were tod this week it should be at the dealer by the end of October, that would be about 12-13 weeks. We have our fingers crossed.

UPDATE - Just found out the trailer is complete except the bedend fan/light units. I have never had a desire for them and would have been more then happy to either loss them or even pay shipping on them after the fact. I am a little upset with the dealer as I had been calling each week and it was not till this past week as I demanded an update. I also ended up loosing out on two 2019s that where on the lot ready to go. So word of advise check with them as it may be an option you don't really need or just get after market instead.
