Rockwood Roo Basic Instructions

How do I sanitize, drain, and fill the holding tank for potable water (for use in campgrounds without water hook-ups)?

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. I put a cup of regular bleach in my potable water tank via the gravity fill that fill it to capacity turn on the pump to get the chlorinated water into the potable water lines and let it sit for 24 to 36 hours then drain and flush. use the search function at the top of the page there are tons of articles about how to do this. good luck

I use what the well companies recommend to disinfect water. 1.5 ounces of house hold bleach per 10 gals of water for 8-24 hours. keep in mind this is for well water or after the tank has sat empty (over the winter) for a period of time city water is already has chlorine in it after initial shock treatment in spring I don't retreat because I use city water to fill. What you do or the time you take is dependent on the water quality you are using.

It would help if you posted which Roo model number you have, to help answer your questions.

Basic instructions for sanitizing can be found in the online manual on the manufacturer’s website.
