Rockwood Signature Ultralight 8299 With Wheel 2016
Have any of you tried to change the wine rack area in the gally of your unit? We do not drink very often and find the wine rack pretty much useless in our fifth wheel.
Clayart, how do you like the 8299bs (other than the wine rack)? I have a 2014 8280WS and was considering the bs. Pro & Cons please.
We really like it. It has a well laid out floor plan and the only thing we miss is a pantry. We decided that the 2 door refrigerator made up for it. We use the cabinet in the middle under that wine rack for a pantry of sorts. The hidden hinges prevent the doors from folding all the way back, though. We just went to the Hershey RV Show and decided that we liked ours better than others we saw there; even the more expensive ones. This one is light enough to pull with our 2003 Ram diesel 2500. The fit and finishing are very good and the People at the Rockwood Factory ROCK.

We have a new little problem as of our recent trip. The kitchen faucet dripped about 1/8 cup of water while we travelled. We do not put water in the tank and I opened and shut the handle on the faucet after we detached the "city" water hose to let off pressure. The faucet was then closed, but worked its way on as we travelled. Has anyone had this problem?

I have noticed the same on out 2918 Rockwood. I just put down some paper towels to catch it and carry on. I thought it was something we were doing but did not consider it a problem

We have a 2017 8299BS FW. We would never use the wine rack so removed. Replaced with 2 black shelves purchased at Menards. Shelf space now with eady access to paper plates, napkins, solo cups and much more.
Our island faucet dripped also on our 2017 8299bs. We solved by putting stretchy hair tie over spout and handle when getting ready to leave campground. Problem solved.
