Roof treatment

We traded in our 2004 Wildwood this year and bought a Rockwood 8329SS. The Wildwood and Rockwood were purchased from two different dealers. The Rockwood dealer told us we have to treat the roof every year (approximately $50) in order for Rockwood to honor the roof warranty. When we purchased the Wildwood from another dealer, roof care was never mentioned when discussing routine maintenance. I am trying to figure out if the Wildwood dealer neglected to mention this maintenance item or if the Rockwood dealer is interested in selling maintenance products. Does anybody treat their roof yearly?

Find yourself a new Rockwood dealer, he is full of crap! And trying to sell you a bill of goods.

Was he saying that you need to bring it to him to "treat the roof" at a cost of $50, or just telling you to treat the roof and that would probably cost about $50 a year(caulk, soap, roof cleaner, brush, etc...)

YES you need to perform regular roof inspections/maintenance or you will/can void the warranty.
NO it does not have to be done by the dealer.

X3. I just wash ours about twice a year with a little dawn soap. I stopped using the 'conditioner' stuff long ago. Never had a problem and we are on our fifth RV with a rubber roof.
