Unfornutately the top one may not work. It will work for cable, but likely has low quality coax and a couple of non approved splitters in the system. This all can create problems with excessive signal loss making sat useless.
Top would be the what your looking for, if you pull the plate you will see how they split it. On the outside make sure your hooked to the right connection
I have done that , so every time now I check to see if I plug into the cable or sat. Connection if your sat is not portable forget what I just posted, make sure you turn that green lite off no matter which model you have
