Schwintek slide controller

We just got back from a camping trip and was trying to open the camper up to clean it out and the kitchen slide in only has one motor working. This is the slide with the in wall system.

I know I can locate the controller box to try and reset it or at least what code it is flashing. Problem is that I cannot find it anywhere. I found the one for the wardrobe slide under the slide near the water pump, but no such luck for the kitchen slide.
Does anyone know where this controller can be located so I can start diagnosing the problem?
Any help is appreciated as my dealer and forest river have not been much help.

Thanks in advance!

if you can find it then you can set it to over ride and it will operate to get in or our .
the controller can be anywhere . it would be nice if all this info came with the units . look behind where the switch is or start taking panels off . may even be outside in a storage compartment

Do you have any of those cabinet doors that look like doors, but have an extra hinge holding them closed where the knob should be? See the one in the pic. Open it up - that's where my controller is.

Rockfordroo, I do have one of those under my pantry but that is on the other side of the camper from the slide. I will look there, but can't imagine it being on the other side.
I'd like to know before I take panels off everywhere. Kind of frustrating.
I did trace one of the wires going into the floor. This tells me it could be anywhere.

Well, I found the controller in a very hard to reach place. I was about to hold my hand over it to see the 8 red flashes. From what I have read online, it pretty much states my motor is shot. Both harnesses look fine.
My slide is all the way in so this is going to be interesting to remove the motor myself being that I have to manually push the slide out 8 to 12 inches.
Does anyone know if you can simply unplug the power, shore and battery, to release the brakes? I cannot reach in there to hit the button however many times it takes.

I've never had to do it myself, but I thought it could be removed from the inside. I think if you unplug from the controller it releases the brakes

He's doing it from inside.

Supposedly this works. But the only time I was able to get my slides to move manually was with physically disconnecting the motors.

And you have to push like a mo...(wait, can't say that).. like whoa. I had to get my feet planted and use all of my body weight. To the point that I was sliding the floor around and ended up having my wife stand with my feet against hers. And to where I bruised my arm.

And, getting to the motors was it's own special hell. I had to send my 10 year old up on top of the slide on one side to get to it.

Awesome...
I would imagine a dealer would charge a good bit for this fix

Found my issue. Red wire came undone at the motor, so override doesn't work since red and black are the power supply.
Tried like hell to manually push with no luck. Gonna try this wknd with more guys.
Should just need to pull the motor and solder the wire back

You need to disconnect both motors to attempt to push in . do not travel with motors unhooked . they keep the slide from moving . you should be able to get to motor from inside or out . very easy removal i think just one spring then the motor lifts out . some may have a set screw

Yes, I has a set screw so I just need to move the slide a little out so I can remove the screw and I will be a business.

Ok I may be wrong but hear me out. The trailer you have is a sister to ours the flagstaff 27rlws. So that means the kitchen slide and the dining room slides are not schwintek's. Only the wardrobe slide is a schwintek. There is a hole in the skirting at the rear of the kitchen slide. We have a tool that came with the trailer that if you insert into that hole till you mate it with a shaft coming out of the frame and you can turn it to move the slide manually.

It's a schwintek. I have the hole on the kitchen slide and it moves the dinette slide. That was the first thing I tried, then I realized I had to learn about the schwintek.

Well there is also a hole and shaft in the dining room slide. What does it move then?

I don't have a hole on that side. I'll surely give it another look tomorrow.
I welcome any advice.

We have a hole and shaft to the rear and below the storage compartment door. So I'm just wondering if the one on the kitchen side turns the dining slide if the one on the dining slide will turn the kitchen slide

Problem solved. Was able to get help and push the slide open enough to pull the set screw. Then soldered the broken wire.
Thanks for all the replies.

Thanks for all the replies.

In order to move the slide- did you just cut power to the camper? Or did you also disconnect motors?
