It's an L shaped pull handle. One on each side of the sliding portion of the screen door. When the slide is all the way open it limits further rear (opening)travel and stands proud of the screen door by about .250" so the sliding portion doesnt disappear in the track and you can grab it to close the slide if you are outside with the screen door assy closed. You can operate it from the inside as well so you don't have to grab that stock ring handle that rests flat against the plastic screen material. Its approx. 1 1/4" tall and stands out from either side of the slide/screen by about 3/4". (3/4 angle aluminum, 1/8" thickness)
Install: It butts up flush to the bottom portion of the aluminum slide frame and flush to the rearward portion of the vertical member of the slide and clears the "came" channel and screen on both sides. There is ample space between it and the door when both are closed(or opened )together. There is no interference with any door hardware.
Photo shown is in an almost closed position to show the screen slide is sandwiched between the knobs
