Shower door won't close at the bottom!

We have a 2016 Rockwood 8289WS and the shower door seems to be sticking along the bottom part so that it doesn't seal when in use. Problem! Since we're 4.5 hours away from the dealer and yes it's in warranty, I'd like to see if anyone has reattached or re-aligned their shower door to prevent it from leaking.

Thank you all!

Dale

Is yours the single door that is hinged on one side and comes to a stop against a magnetic strip on the other side...or is it the dual doors that slide and meet in the middle. One is bowed in a rounded shape and the other is a regular neo angle shower door.

Have you checked to see if the rubber sweep on the bottom of the door may have come out of its track? That happened to us a few times when we had our Rockwood. It might be just a matter of pushing it back into the track.

good luck.

X2 what Capt Mike said - same problem same fix when we had our Rockwood. Also make sure there is not a bend in the channel that is preventing the sweep from seating in the channel.

My single shower door did the same thing. The vinyl door seal at the bottom was ripped and hung down just enough to prevent closure of the door. If this is the case, cut the damaged stripping off and it should allow door closure. You may get a minor amount of water leakage. I just placed a bath towel below the door which absorbs the water. Finding a replacement strip is difficult. United RV located in Fort Worth has them and will ship at your expense. The strip will not last long! I just "make-do" with the altered strip on my door and it works fine!

This is what happened with our brand new TracerAir 255.
We took off on a 7 week trip, the day after we picked it up from the dealer.
We hope to have the door realigned and the lower seal replaced.

I raised my door by inserting a couple of C-shaped pieces of plastic under the support that holds the pin on which the door rotates.

Sketch attached.

I got replacements from Forrest River Parts. Came in the mail.

Thanks for the replies!

I've replaced the bottom gasket back into the track on the bottom edge of the door only to have it pushed loose again next time someone uses or tries to close the shower door. I think the spacers may work or perhaps I can pull the door and adjust the screws that keep the door aligned onto the jam. I'll work on it. Thank you all.
