Shower Miser not functioning

Greetings All,
New 2021 Rockwood 8291RK here. Realized over the last two trips that I don't think the Shower Miser is working at all on my trailer.

Shower Miser pointed up, toward the shower head, the shower functions. Every other position, including straight down toward floor, no water flows.

Has anyone had similar issues? Any ideas on possible issues that can cause this?

If not rectified, I will just add it to our small list of items to be fixed prior to MFR warranty expiring...

Thanks

No water flows out of shower head (expected) or no water flows at all (ie you hear no water flowing and/or your pump doesn't run)?

In the one position, water should flow from the shower head. In the other, the water should be directed to the fresh water tank instead of the shower head. Are you saying no water is flowing back to the fresh water tank?

The showermiser web site will explain how it should work. http://showermiser.us/

Correct. No Water flows through the system at all when Shower Miser is not in the Up position. No water flowing through the plumbing, not into the fresh tank either.
Strange Right?

Did it ever work on this trailer?

This has never worked. Maybe the plumbing is not set up properly behind the shower. Who Knows

I tried the showermiser on my 2511 and it worked as designed. However, I did not like that it was dumping my precious 6 gallons of hot water into the holding tank while I was soaping up.

Now, I turn the water off every time to preserve the hot!

Well, once hot water has reached the shower faucet, at that point the shower miser has done it's job and you would switch the diverter valve over.. Typically you would use a shut off on the shower head while soaping up.

I only use it to flush out the supply lines so I don't have to dump the cold water into the grey tank. Once the water is hot at the shower miser I just use the pause button on the shower head to stop the flow of water.

Not being plumbed correctly could certainly be expected on a new RV.

Yes, that makes sense.

I had EXACTLY the same scenario on my Geo Pro. Turns out, the miser return was incorrectly teed into the outlet (high pressure) line at the pump. Problem solved in 15 minutes by moving it to the inlet (low pressure) side of the pump.

(Bad troubleshooting technique on my part resulted in my completely tearing apart the trailer to trace the lines. Duh. It was so obvious in retrospect that I should have started at the pump... )

Hi. I have a similar but different problem; regardless of what position I have the showermiser lever in the water continues to flow out of the shower. It never actually stop flowing and return water to the tank.
Any idea where to start looking?

Year and model of your RV? Has the shower miser ever worked correctly or was it working and then later failed?

I had a problem with my toilet not working. The water line might be blocked.
I would add it to your warranty list.
