Question slide out question for 2011 2304S Ultra Lite

We just sold our Bambi Airstream and ordered the 2304S as we need more
room since we'll be taking our 16 month old grandson on most of our camping trips!
We're wondering if anyone can tell us if there is room to get through to the
kitchen/'frig/bathroom when the slide out is all the way in? If yes, how much room, about 10 inches, or?
Thank you!

Excellent, thank you so much for the info! Glad to hear, too, that you love your 2304S, we think we will, too! Good to know about the mattress, we
will definitely get the memory foam topper!

Purchased a 2011 Rockwood 2304S in mid August - outstanding quality - exceeded expectations - have had no problems. Easy tow (over 2500 miles) using 2005 Ford Expedition 4X4 w/tow package. Sufficient interior room to carefully maneuver through space between dinette and extended cabinets when slide is retracted. Enjoy!

Thank you!

Excellent, thank you for letting us know! We were very impressed with the quality just checking it out, we're really excited to be getting it soon! We have a 3/4 ton Dodge Diesel Stretch Cab that we tow with and carry a Gregor boat on top of that. All we need is a rocking chair!

I had a problem with my slide out blowing fuses when i got home from rv wholesalers 900 mile drive .Just about everytime i moved the slide in or out it would blow.I looked under the slide when it was open and notice the weather stiping was missing on the bottom of the trailer wher the slide closed against it and pintching the power wire.I put on the weather striping and ajusted the slide stops been fine since.Just something to check when you get it.

slide 2304s

The reason i mention the slide is because i have since looked at two others at rv dealers and they had the same issue no weather striping.Otherwise i am very happy with the quality.I tow mine with a 06 tundra dc v8. Tows great.

Weather Stripping Tip

Thank you so much - we'll be sure to check on this when we pick ours up and make them put the slide out in and out several times before we leave!

I did not know that you could get a 2304 with pull out. Here in canada the only model offered with pull out on the mini lite for 2011 are the 1809s that we just bought and the other model is the 2502s. Your trailer looks very nice. We bought a rockwood because they are so versatile and nice looking.

Holy Schnikes!
A base UVW of 4500Lbs!?!?
A base tongue weight of 700Lbs?!
Seems neither mini nor lite!
Are there some lead weights built into the frame of that thing?

I love the floor plan, the murphy bed is way cool!

very nice plan. I was to buy a 2304 first and due to a quite heavy tonge weight on the 2304 ( 490 lbs ) we opted for a 1809s which has just over 250lbs tonge weight . The 1809s is very big inside for a 20 foot trailer because of the pull out. The nice thing also is that the table is removable and with the table removed it give an impression of lots of room to move around.

1809s

We checked out the 1809S but opted for the 2304S because of the huge
u-dinette (also a table that you can take outside), the Murphy Bed to use at night over the sofa to use during the day and the large bathroom/shower. We have a 3/4 ton truck so the weight is not an issue. The 1809S was tempting, tho, a great floor plan! Hard to make a choice with so many good ones!

we pull our 1809s with a 2009 chevy uplander. Our van has a heavy duty engine oil cooler with an auxiliary transmission cooler. We only pull on level roads. With your 3/4 ton truck I am sure you dont feel it at all.

I saw one of these units today and may buy one. The TV doesn't play through the stock speakers? I'm overly enamored with the tech toys so this matters! I also don't like the fact that there's no place to put a home style DVD player but I can get over that if the stock unit works properly.

Is Toshiba the stock television or does the dealer get whatever they can find (the one I saw had a Toshiba).

More questions to come no doubt.

Thanks!

My 2304S came with a 22" Tohsiba (swing mounted) directly from the plant. It can extend 6" from its closed/secured position. Very nice viewing.

It might be possible to rig your TV into the stock speakers through the stereo system if it has an axillary plug. Ou Surveyor did not come with a TV, so I added a small flat screen with built in DVD player a couple of months ago. I ran wires (RCA plugs) about 15 feet or so from the TV to the back of the stereo system, and it works great.
