Slide topper

I知 going to be adding slide toppers to my 2 slides. Anyone have any experience doing this themselves and able to give me any advice? I知 highly mechanically inclined but always willing to hear from someone who痴 done this. Both slide toppers are going to be around $600 and doing the labor myself with save a small fortune I知 sure. Also, any pros or cons to either going with Carefree or Lippert ? Thanks in advance.

I put both slide toppers on my rig. Make sure you have a helper that has some mechanical ability and is strong enough to stand on a ladder and handle the topper. make sure your ladders are tall enough without getting in the way. One last thing if I had it to do again I would on unpacking the topper (with help without releasing the spring) manually unroll fabric and re-roll it on to the tube making sure it is perfectly straight on the tube
