I would not suggest flushing anything other than septic approved toilet tissue. Use a small trash can instead.

No no no no and no. The only thing that goes down my black tank is human waste and rv toilet paper. It's not worth the possible future problems you might have.

You do not want the details on what "flushable" wipes did to my maceration pump.

Rule #1:
If one didn't eat it and allow it to pass through their digestive system, it doesn't go in the toilet.

I hadn't thought of the maceration pump!
We've got one in our rig.

Exactly! Our dear friend (may he rest in peace) who used to invite us to his houseboat every summer told us "if it didn't pass through you it doesn't go in the toilet".

Yep, the macerator will turn those wipes and other unmentionables into a bail of cotton. Now wonder how I'd know that.

Maybe try some wiping lotion? I have not tried this yet but, having a bidet attachment at home has spoiled me so I think I'm going to try some for my camper. I seen a dispenser system advertised a month or two ago but couldn't find it to post here.

A toilet seat bidet system works great. It has a nice warm seat and then nice warm water to wash, and nice warm air to dry. And the one we have fits the Dometic 310 toilet.

DON'T DO IT!!! I f you read the instructions on almost any of the wipes packages they all say not to flush them. In the waste system of an RV they will have a chance to dissolve/partly dissolve before you need to dump the tank. Get a trash can with a foot operated lid which will automatically close after use. You'll want to empty the trash regularly but it a small inconvenience compared to a stopped up sewer on your RV.

Your holding tank is not the issue, it's the system you are dumping into. If the park uses a septic system there may be an issue, a city sewer system should not be, the use macerator pumps to chop solids. As far as sensors in your tank, they will cease to work after the first few times you use it and you can't clean them no matter what you do. Just be sure you completely flush your tank every time.

Not so..... just about every city sewer operator is begging people not to
flush wet wipes of any kind.

I respectfully disagree with most of this post.
Flushable wipes shouldn't be flushed period.
It has been reported they will clog and bind up a macerator pump and it has been reported they will hurt city sewer systems.
Sensors aren't all that accurate but there are chemicals that will allow them to work as good as they did new. And of course if you happen to have tank sensors that mount on the OUTSIDE of the tank, that "one size fits all" advice doesn't pertain at all.
