Stinky

I am just taking my brand new Rockwood geo pro 15tb out on it's maiden voyage. It is a new 2022 model. While loading our gear into it we noticed a very strong skunky smell in the bathroom and only in the bathroom. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!!

First thing I would do is sanitize the black and gray holding tanks and sink trap.

A dealer employee or customer could have used the toilet.

You're certain it's not a propane smell? Some people describe it as a skunk smell.

I'd put chemicals and a gallon of water down the black and grey tanks. If that doesn't kill the smell, you might have something in the bathroom vents.

Do you happen to have a Dometic toilet? Model 300?

It shouldn't be a propane leak as the tanks are off. The whole wet bathroom area just reeks and goes away a bit if the door is left open or the fan is left on. Really annoying since we never even used the toilet yet. We've had other rvs and never had this problem.

Your rig is under warranty. I'd call the dealer for recommendations and see if they could have a mobile mechanic come and check the rig. Something is probably stuck in the vent and you probably don't want to go poking around in there yourself. Could be construction debris or an animal got stuck.
