Storage compartment

Mine is not a pass through. It is a nice size but just has the one door. I like things organized. It would be great if I had a shelf or drawer that slid in and out with everything on it. I can't reach stuff that is way in the back of the storage compartment. I have seen some of what I am looking for online but they are like $300 up to $500! That is Not affordable!
So any ideas home made or anything would be appreciated!
Thanks!

I built a shelf in mine, and could build a drawer......OC did, a drawer, using track and wheels from a garage door

Get some measurements of your storage area. I got two plastic containers that will fit side by side in mine. They are long enough that I can push them all the way to the back and still reach them from the outside. I discarded the lids so I can put big stuff in them.

here is link to show you what I am talking about.

Try using the metal rod for pulling down a manual awning. It has a bend on the end to snag whatever you need to get. I carry one for getting things out of my 8' truck bed. A friend uses a wooden hockey stick to reach his things.

We use an old boat hook to pull things forward, and keep most everything in plastic containers. It's working fine for now.
