tailgate hitting power lift

When hooked up to travel trailer, and opening tailgate it rests on the switches of the power lift.
needs about 1/2 inch to clear.
Is there a shield to put on tailgate or power lift ?

Some people have rotated the jack 90 degrees. Requires you to tap some new holes.

If I REALLY raise the tongue on our Windjammer 3029w, my Silverado tailgate clears the electric jack housing just fine. I have to do this to remove the WDH bars anyway to "unload" the 10K bars. It's also a nice time to drop the tailgate and remove whatever needs to come out from under the A.R.E fiberglass tonneau cover that can't make it over the side when fully open. Maybe your tailgate will clear your's too....

I would recommend a longer shank for your WD hitch. I ran into this with a Ford F-150 tailgate.

I just rotated the head 180* works great and no holes need to be retapped

Just drill a New 5/8 pin hole in your shank to achieve the needed space! Youroo!!

What year and type of Silverado do you Have? What year is your 3029W? I have no problems with my 2015 3500 or my 2016 3500 and my 2016 3029W.
