Tank heaters and fridge

Our 2304 Mini-Lite has heated water tanks that when turned on cause the fridge to make a consistent noise. The fridge sounds like a fan or something is trying to engage for about 5 seconds, then it stops, then continues to repeat untill we turn off the heated tanks. Any suggestions or links to a help site?

Is your power center close to the fridge. You could be hearing the cooling fan in that coming on because of the extra wattage being used with the tank heaters. I know my cooling fan will come on when I have several electrical items on at the same time.

Indeed, the fridge sits atop the fuse box, is that what you refer to as the power center? The fan doesn't run continually, rather it runs for about 5 seconds, off for 5, back on, etc, until we turn off the tank heaters. Thanks for your resonse.

Yes, that is the power center. Next time you hear the fan, put your ear up against the power center to see if the noise is coming from that area. If it is truly the fridge fan that you are hearing, that would be heard better on the outside of the camper at the ventilation grill for the fridge.

Sounds like the power center cooling fan.

Mine sounds like a mud dauber building a nest if we have exactly 2 lights
on. IF we turn on more lites the fan runs more continuously if we have less
it doesn't run at all --- thankfully!!
At least it doesn't run at night.

It's annoying and really makes you wonder if the people who design these
things ever actually use them in the real world!!
