The lite on our power plug cover went out.

So I noticed the other day the power plug cover which normally has a blue light turn on is not working anymore. You think it's a safety issue?

Yep typical for these to go out. Mine went out two years ago and not anything I need. Later RJD

Yeah still have power and everything was just curious. The guy at the RV place said that if the blue light ain't on you aren't getting the right amount of power and I should bring it in. But my camco surge protector says everything on the circuit is good.

Fusion power cord LEDS for the most part fail when used outside in the weather. It is marketing 101 give them flashy lights and people will buy.

Not sure i would trust that "RV guy" to touch my RV. The LED is simply burnt out.

My light went out right after I got my toy hauler. The dealer claimed it was hard to change and didn't matter. Last year I melted a plug. I pulled the receptical apart and found the blue light wire was broke the neutral wire was melted, the wire was not tight. I contacted the manufacturer bottom line they sent me a new receptical and power cord.

You get a connection that's not tight and you'll find out how one melts a plug.

I noticed a week ago that one of the blades on the male end of our cord is discolored, apparently from heat. Must have plugged into a bad receptacle at the last campground. AC ran almost nonstop. I'll clean it up before our next trip.

I noticed that one of the make ends on our power plug is discolored as well. And the rubber around it a little different colored than the rest.
