My wife and I are set to buy the 2104S in spring. Last of 4 heading to college and now it's our turn! Love the size and floorplan, etc. Have a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 6 cyl and tow package rated at 6200 lbs. I'm reading mixed reviews on how it could handle a TT. Anyone with this TT and tow vehicle combo with any real life experience??

My DW and I purchased a 2018 2104S a few months ago and were using a 2013 GMC Acadia Denali (inline 3.6L six cylinder, 5,200 towing capacity, and AWD w/ towing package). I only towed the trailer once with this vehicle in eastern Virginia, where there are not a lot of hills. Was using an Equal-i-zer WDH and in towing mode. The vehicle towed the trailer ok, but it did seem to struggle a little as it spent most of it's time tach'd around 3,200 - 3,300. The combined weight of the trailer and cargo in the Acadia weighed in at approximately 5,000lbs., so we were pretty close to our max. Upon reaching the RV park and when getting home, I did seem to think I smelt a little hot tranny fluid in the air. All that said, the trailer felt quite stable and it never gave me an ounce of trouble.
However, considering we plan on heading west on occasion (meaning we have to get over the Blueridge) and we'd like to carry a bit more equipment, I traded the Acadia in on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit (5.7L Hemi, 7,200 towing capacity, AWD/4x4 w/towing package). It's not a Dodge Ram 2500 diesel, but I don't suspect we'll have any trouble with our combination of trailer and new TV.

The Flagstaff 21DS is the sister to the Rockwood 2104S with the exact same floorplan. In this thread are some storage tips that we implemented on our 21DS.

X2. I pulled my Roo 19 one season in the Midwest with my DW's Traverse. Then I got a 1/2 ton pickup. IMHO, it's more the drag than the weight.
I know Ford has a sq ft frontal limit, but I've never seen/heard of one for the other brands.

I do agree with your "drag" comment. The frontal area on a 2104S is pretty flat and so is the rear.

We just bought a 2104s this spring. I pull it with a 04 chevy Silverado Z71 w/4.8 liter v8. I get about 10 mpg running 65mph. My biggest issue is the height and shape of the TT. Not aerodynamic at all. I bought a used bed cap for the pick-up to help push air over the camper. It seems to help. My mileage increased from 9 to 10 mpg.
We have a weigh distribution hitch. I would NOT tow without it.
