Tire Diameter

Hey all,

I'm picking up a 2015 Windjammer and I want to buy some tire covers before I get it. I called the dealer to see if they would measure a Windjammer for me but never got back to me. Would one of you who can conveniently measure your tire tell me the diameter. The ADCO double tire covers come for 27"-29" and 30"-32". Thanks.

If you know the tire size, I can give you a very close approximation to the diameter.

For metric tire sizing, the formula for diameter in inches is as follows.

(section width) X (aspect ratio) X 2
---------------------------------
2540

added to rim diameter = app. tire diameter

say you have a 225/75R15 size tire

(225) X (75) X 2 divided by 2540 = 13.287

13.287 + 15 inch rim diameter = 28.287 inches appr tire diameter total.

I believe that's the tire size that I saw in a picture on a website but it was hard to make out. If it is ST225/75R 15/C, I looked it up to be 28.5" so you are correct. I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the info.
