Water filter and canister.

Can anyone point me towards parts needed and proven methods to remove or bypass the the canister and filter in a rockwood 2511s. Placement is really inconvenient and filter media expensive to replace. Also a PIA when winterizing. Would rather filter at the city water connection. We don't drink or cook with campground water so no real concern about super filtration.

One way
https://www.forestriverforums.com/fo...ds-204936.html

Read posts 12 and 16 here. 12 sounds like a good idea if it does indeed work without a rubber bladder. I would think an accumulator would need one. Not sure if there is room though.

16 makes me more assured I am not in overkill with my setup of four outside filters. Remember, a filter removes the junk that is going to screw up your toilets, faucets and pump. Not just making water taste better.
Removing mine is on my to do list also for this summer.

Here’s how I did mine. I used a PVC Schedule 40 union that I got at Home Depot. The brass splice is a Sharkbite fitting.

I'm currently in the process of completing this project on my 2020 2511S. I removed the canister last night and am going to get a 1/2" hose barbed union and splice the two hoses together. I'll have pictures later. -Ed

Thank's for the ideas and links. I was not sure how I'd reconnect afterwards. I now have a few options it seems.
