What's behind this mystery cabinet?

Hello,

I have a 2017 Mini Lite 2306. It has a TV mounted to an angled cabinet above my dinette. Does anyone know if there is anything behind this cabinet? It seems its only purpose is to mount the TV and hide cables for the TV.

I plan to do some remodeling and since I usually watch movies on my laptop, I was considering removing the TV and this section of the cabinet in order to open up a little space. But I'm curious what I'll find back there.

You could pull the radio/CD and look.

I investigated a similar space on my rig (2512). Best guess is that it is an empty void that is unfinished. Likely the wires to the adjacent electronic equipment run through this space. Easiest way to find out is to remove the screws on the radio and pull it out. Good Luck!

I had similar on mine, turn's out it was full of a rat's nest of wiring and a subwoofer

I have the same thing. I'd like to convert it into storage. Has anyone done this? Any suggestions for removing the paneling? And any suggestions where to get some doors that would match the rest of the interior. I've heard that Rockwoood will sell cupboard doors.
