Where are all the Rockwood 5th Wheel owners?
Just curiosity questions really.
I almost never see posting from Rockwood 5th wheel owners on here.
Are there just not that many of them or is it because they have way fewer issues ? I can look back and see they are on here and they do post , but not anywhere near the numbers TT owners do. Is there another section for Rockwood 5th wheel owners I'm missing ? Could it be unlike some other manufactures Rockwood sells more TT than 5th wheels? Just a curiosity question really.

You posted your question in the right section. Most Rockwood fifth wheel owners here on the forum participate in this section. It could be that there are far more Rockwood/Flagstaff TT owners than 5er owners. The construction of their 5ers and TTs are the same as are most of the appliances, so posts are mostly relevant to both.

Well at least there are a few . I knew they were out there.
Yes most things with the Flagstaffs and other TT are the same for sure.
I just almost never see anything posted by the 5ers' So it had me wondering if I had missed a section someplace on the forums.
At least now I know I'm not alone on owning a Rockwood or Flagstaff 5er and I have others who can answer question if the need arises.
We hope ours gets finished sometime in the next months or so.
We have had it on order since mid October.
Thanks for the replies. For a few days I was thinking nobody had one.

Very nice set up you have. Looks great out there being used. I love camp site images. You get to see how others set up. Sometimes you see the extra toys and additions they bring along.

Rockwood 8301WS here. We are weekend warriors with a forever warranty. For $200 yearly our dealer checks the appliances and such and fixes them. Can use any dealer across the USA. Fortunately we have had only minor problems and most are operator error. Hehe. The biggest thing so far was replacement of gas regulators. I hope you have the same results as us with problems

Rockwood 8280WS
Been full-timing in our 2016 model for six+ years. Everything that Rockwood has done still working, no complaints here.
The lightweights are not meant to full-time, but we have managed well. Things wear out because the folks that supply parts mostly produce junk. Replaced the bathroom faucet with a residential one when a handle disintegrated. Did the same with our kitchen faucet this year.
Today, I ordered a new light for over our bathroom sink because the original LED quit working. Cost me $12.
Still water tight, and exterior holding up darn well.
Those idiot Dometic jerks cost me a bundle. Could not get trouble shooting right on my fridge, and that set me back $500 for a rear power panel. Turns out it was the front eyebrow panel, but somehow it seems to have healed itself. Dometic just simply sucks. Overpriced, unreliable, and costs a fortune to fix. Sorry for the gripe, but geez, there has to be a business opportunity here for someone to make RV fridges that work as well as a residential one does.
We've towed this thing 45,000+ miles, coast to coast and border to border, up into Nova Scotia and Alberta. Into and over mountains repeatedly, never skipped a beat.

WOW That is good news to hear. I hope ours does as well. We hope to do a lot of work camping with ours. 2 to 4 months stays each year. A few 1 or 2 week stays in between. We work camped in Colter Bay last season in a large TT and while we managed it for 4 months we think the 5th wheel will make things a little more roomy. We enjoyed work camping and it allowed us to travel around the Tetons and Yellowstone with pocket change to spend too.
Made some new work friends and meet a whole ton of camping tourist also.
The picture is our site Labor Day.

Rockwood 5th wheel owners
We’re here. I browse the forum frequently and enjoy the advice as well as the opinions. I’ve had my 8289ws since new and the problems I’ve had, I could fix myself. No complaints.

Same exact rig we have, and same time frame, we’ve had it a year.
Unfortunately, the one we bought has had lots of problems. Furnace wouldn’t work, leak in the kitchen, toilet leaked, water heater leak and now a leak in the bedroom slide out!
Not really happy with it overall.

I also own a 2018 Rockwood Signature Ultra Light model 8299BS. Purchased new in February of 2019. Really love the trailer, it is the second Rockwood product I have owned. Both have been trouble free. I consider myself pretty luck with the lack of problems I have had, after reading about the issues some other RV owners experience.

We're on here all the time. We have a 2014 Rockwood Signature Ultralite 8282 fifth wheel. We're here to help!
It's a good sign not to see many owners post because that most likely means they are having no issues. The people post most who are having issue with their unit, so if everthing is quiet, it largely means things are going well. People don't run to the forum to post that their RV is working the way it's supposed to. Not very newsworthy!

I’m on my 3rd Rockwood since1994. 1 pop up and 2 TT. Ready to move to a fifth wheel. I have had NO issues with any. That’s why I only buy this brand. Maybe I’ve been lucky. I just feel the quality is there, so why risk changing!
