Wifi Ranger router in 2018 8311ws

I just bought a used 8311ws travel trailer and I want to re-set the WiFi Ranger to factory settings. Does anyone know where the router is located? That is what the directions say I need to find.

Thanks a lot!

You can check out this string from the Flagstaff forum. Probably contains the info you are looking for. Including the reset procedures.

If it's the same one I have, the router is the base of the stubby double antenna on the roof. It's a router and repeater in a single package. The benefits are modest. It won't improve a crappy signal or low bandwidth.

Congrats

Congrats on the new travel trailer! We have the same year/model and love it. Sorry I can't help with the router, I haven't had much luck with ours. We have only been to one CG with it, and the signal there is pretty lousy. It doesn't help that electronics are not my strong point.

Happy camping!

The only value to the WiFi Ranger was when we first bought the TT and it was in our driveway, repeating our home WiFi. Even that only increased the signal level, which was adequate without it. The few times we have experimented with campground WiFi, the bandwidth was too low to be useful. We have better results with cellular data and our cellular powered WiFi hotspot or mobile phone tethering. With very few exceptions, it's pretty much the same with WiFi in hotels, too. Since the Ranger has a router, it can be used to interconnect other WiFi devices to each other, but using the campground 'free WiFi' as an internet provider has proven not to be very useful.
