Wifi ranger sky4

Is there a booster for the sky4 as I keep losing park wifi,or is there a better wifi extender I can buy that draws a stronger wifi signal and holds it longer in the RV.

I have had no problems with mine. A good way to see where the problem might be is to go outside your camper with your phone. If you can get and hold a good Internet connection with your phone, the problem is your WiFi Ranger. If not, the campground WiFi is the problem.

On our Rockwood 2109S the factory installed WiFi Ranger was defective. We would log in to a campground and get a strong signal, but after approx. 15 minutes our connection would drop. We would reconnect and 15 min's later connection would drop again. Wifi Ranger tech. support had us on the phone as they tried all possible solutions they could help with. Took our T.T. back to the dealer while still under warranty. Turned out to be a circuit board problem inside the roof mounted Wifi Ranger.

I have read that the WiFi Ranger performs much better with a 24 volt power supply than with the 12 volt. I believe the manufacturer even sells a voltage doubler for it.


Also, if you might want to make sure your Ranger is fused. Mine wasn't, and reversed battery connections (an ugly story) blew it. I'm replacing it with a Ubiquiti Nanostation M2 and AirCube.
