Windjammer LED replacement bulb won't work in porch light

My porch light fixture melted/deformed (housing and lens) with the incandescent bulb in the Texas heat so I got a new light fixture to replace the one that melted and installed an LED bulb and it won't light up. I moved the LED bulb to the fixture on the front by the jack and the bulb lights up fine (on/off switch is on the light fixture housing). I put an incandescent bulb back in the new porch light fixture and it lit up. I have to believe this has something to do with the on/off switch being on the trailer control panel. Any other Windjammer owners run across this?

try swapping the wires, LEDs need the correct polarity. incandescents don't care about polarity

Also if the bulb can be rotated 180 degrees, effectively swapping the contacts polarity wise, you may not have to swap the wires.

It swapped the wires on the fixture and LED bulb lit up.
