Windjammer outdoor kitchen fridge
Last weekend we took our first trip in our new Windjammer 3006WK. Upon arrival at the campground I opened the hatch for the outdoor kitchen and discovered that the fridge door had opened in transit and the drinks were coming out. For the trip home I wrapped a bungee cord around it to keep it closed. What do you do to keep your outdoor fridge closed while travelling?
Also, is there a way to keep the fridge door open with the kitchen hatch closed, so that the fridge can dry out and not mildew when the trailer is stored?
Thanks, Dan

the bungee is a good idea for traveling and storing. Use a kitchen sponge in the door to hold it ajar and the bungee to hold it in place for storage.

On the old unit I would unplug the fridge and stick the cord in and push door in. There was enough friction to keep door closed(empty).
I might try to fasten a removable peg, bracket, something to block the door from opening like you did. Bungee is great if you want that. My fridge was mounted so the case didn't move. If you drill a hole for peg...make sure you seal it well the prevent water intrusion.

It looks like you should be able to open the door, pop that thing up, and let it keep the door open for drying the fridge. But is the fridge set back far enough that you can close the outside kitchen door that way?

This was my modification in order to keep the outside kitchen fridge door closed while traveling. See YouTube video link:

It's intended to keep the fridge door closed during travel. I'll go see if there's enough clearance to use it to leave the fridge door open and the outside kitchen door closed for airing out when turned off/unplugged.

My 312QBUD came with a strap that goes from the door edge on the right and to the cabinet on the left. It keeps the door shut but when i am setting up i have to open it like a ninja and catch what falls out.

rockfordroo, I found a way to use the modification I did to keep the outside kitchen fridge door closed during travel, but to use it to hold the fridge door open to allow the fridge to air out with the outside kitchen hatch closed. See video below.

That's great. (Note: I don't have an outdoor kitchen, but I thought others might!)
I saw that with the medicine cabinet stop where you have it, when you opened the door and popped the stop up, the door was open too far for the kitchen hatch to close. If you moved the cabinet stop to the end of the door, it would still hold it closed OK, but would not hold it open as far. Is there adequate clearance between the fridge door and kitchen hatch if you were to move the cabinet stop to the end of the fridge door?
Everybody's kitchen is probably different, so it may not work on yours, but might on someone else's.

I purposely installed the "stop" where I did in order to completely secure the door during travel as the fridge door isn't flat, but is slightly curved. Installing it closer to the opening edge would've allowed the door to open slightly during travel. Regardless, great idea.

I have removed the stove and replaced with a bar. Stove was subpar quality and i liked more table space. See photos.

Outdoor Fridge Lock
Here is what I did to keep the outdoor fridge closed while traveling; I noticed that the bottom of the door had a hole that is used if swapping hinge sides. I just bought a latch that fit the hole perfectly, and was exactly the right dimension to screw to the metal counter. When traveling I raise the latch into the hole on the bottom of the door, and it cant open.
Pictures should be rotated clockwise 90 degrees.

Love your idea. How much weight will your bar hold? Maybe a sidekick grill?
