Winter battery storage

We winterized our camper and put it up for the Winter. I usually take the batteries out and put them in the garage on a trickle charger. Some people I know just leave them in the camper until Spring. I am curious what other people do

I pull my battery and put it on a Tender. Part for maintenance, part because I have to store the trailer at a “secure” storage area. The battery has been working good for the past 3 years doing this. We can get temps below 0° F here so figure it’s worth the effort.

Because I have a battery disconnect switch and I also have mine plugged into shore power, when not in use.
Since a charged battery will not freeze until at least -40°F, that would never happen where I live.

Question

So I have a similar question. In the past I have taken my batteries out and put them on a trickle charger for the winter. My new trailer I have added a solar panel and left my batteries in. I have seen peoples concerns with charging issue with cold temps. Not sure if the colder temps (teens) will affect the charging of the batteries or how well they will hold their charge? I do have a disconnect on the trailer power with the solar controller directly connected to the batteries. Looking for any input on what others have experienced? Thanks

I pull mine, store them in my heated garage and put them on a charger once a month.
