Winterizing Geopro 19FD

I am going to winterize my trailer and I have 2 quick questions.

1. I watched a lot of videos where the owners did not blow out the lines with an air compressor. How necessary is this?

2. On the back of the trailer, beside the city water connection is an antifreeze inlet. Is this where the pump draws the antifreeze from? And if so, do you just use a short hose and dip the other end in the jug?

Thanks!

Here is a link to the PDF Forest river sent me last year. It applies to your model also.
