I have the 2003 Grand Surveyor, and I love the Trailer. My front storage compartment right above the tongue leaks. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Any good solutions? I think I know now why they quit making these front starage compartments. I have tried using rope caulk, and foam tape. Maybe I can find replacment seal, I do not know where to find it though. I have heard on another site that it might be the piano hinge that they use to open and close the door. Any help from someone who knows would be greatly appriciated.
Camping World carries several profiles of trim. I replaced all my storage door seals with a slightly larger "D" profile than the factory installed and it worked great. They're a little harder to close but that's a good thing. If you have a special profile you might try Trimlok Rubber Seals.

Gotta go campin!
We had a Traillite with front storage as yours does and put a 2" wide strip of white fiber reinforced tape along top hinge which stopped water from getting in

I did all the d-seals that every one else is using BUT
I also used jeep holdown latches to pull the door tighter closed.
And if any water does get in while in storage I installed a extra floor/sink drain
Home depot. Replaced other floor vent with a drain then sprayed
pick-up bed liner / rubber 12 inches up on all sides.
If its worth doing its worth overdoing !!
Good Luck
I have had this problem too!! I installed the Trimlok and seems to fit a lot better than the original did. I installed it late last fall so I have not had a chance to see if it is any better. I hope this helps I think by the quality of the seal it should work great for this!!!!
