Did your screw break off leaving a part of it in the floor?

I need some help on this for ideas. Below is the original problem.

I have surveyor 266 RLDS. The screw for the tie down has pulled out of floor/carpet. The screw is all the way out. Because it is in the carpet I can not see where it was/goes. I assume I need a new hole, but not quite sure what I need to do. The screw itself will not break the flooring material using my drill. Do I need a self taping screw etc,. Just using the screw and my driver it like drilling into concrete.

Ideas??????

Do you have a picture that might be able to help?

What is the material you are screwing into?

Not trying to be smart but is you drill rotation turning the screw clockwise?

Chair tie down repair

ok, thank you. I figure out the issue which is stupid of me is the screw head and my phillips drill did not match. I found the same size screw in my junk with a phillips and it went right in.

Sorry for the bother.

Thanks everyone
