Considering 2019 243rbs

Hello to all! And. Thank you for the group. My wife and I are currently shopping for a quality hitch pull, slide, trailer to pull with our 2010 tundra(with tow package) for our coming retirement adventures. I really like the features of the forest river 243rbs. This doesnít seem to be a very high production model(?) and I am wondering if anyone can provide their own first hand reviews.

A few things.....
1. Welcome aboard.
2. You might want to consider a different nickname....the 243rbs is not the only toy in town. Youíre still just shopping.
3. Iím not familiar with what kind of unit a 243rbs is, but if you want specific information on it, try posting under the proper forum heading of your model.

Hi and Welcome to FRF.
Please post which brand your RV is. FR makes almost 100 different brands and some share the same model numbers.
Once you post the brand, go to that brand's sub-forum here and ask your model-specific questions there.

Welcome aboard!

Our experience.
We had a 243 something something from a different manufacturer as our first trailer. The layout and the dimensions of the trailer were very similar. We upgraded after 2 years.

Here is why. The dinette is fine for eating and sitting and talking. Drinking coffee. But only for a short period. Maybe others will chime in.

The TV was in the same location as your proposed trailer. In order to watch TV you both need to sit on same side of Dinette. Not very comfortable.

Of course you may not have an issue or not as old as us

Our new trailer has recliners and a dinette. It is a bigger trailer than you might want to tow. I have seen trailers with dinette and recliners/sofas in the same slide. That are not much bigger.

Your mileage may vary. Best of luck either way!
