Fantastic Fan Mod

Just wondering if there's 12v stubbed out at the front vent?
theres a vent fan in the bathroom but wondering about putting a fantastic fan up front above the bed...

Use power from your ceiling light.
Should be close to your vent.

That's what I did, too. It was a pretty easy project.

Did you fish the wire through the rafters or run it externally across the ceiling? I would think it would be quite open up there to get a wire through the rafters over to the light...
Thanks

It's nice that they have the smoked and black ultra breeze vent cover...to match the black trim on the SP220...

For my installation, once I had the ceiling light fixture dangling and the factory vent removed, I just fished wires over the ceiling but under the insulation. I didn't have far at all to go, which was a help. I just used a stiff wire to poke in one hole and out the other and then attached the wires in order to fish them through.

Did you notice how thick the insulation is up there? Just curious.

Also, there are several of us on the Surveyor forum who have gotten new 220's in recent months, and I hope you'll keep us informed on what's going on with yours.

I won't be able to offer much help. I took the light out and measured 4.25" in the space between ceiling and roof. I guess the insulation is 3.5". My Palomino has the aluminum frame. Also, the roof arcs quite a bit side to side and the roof where the light and vent are located arcs a lot from front to rear. Right there is where the most "attic" space is.
To really get an idea what I have, look at the first picture posted by f1100turbo here; http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...tos-45417.html
