How high is a Surveyor 291 ?
I am curious if anyone ever measured their SV-291 and found out how tall is this trailer with the AC ? I know that the brochure states 8'6" but it does not specify if that includes the AC height.
On my way back home after taking delivery I had to go under a bridge which was only 10-1/2' and I was really scared .... I was wondering if anyone knows the exact measurement.
Thanks

The A/C unit is 12-3/4" high.
That will put your trailer's hight under 10'

Thanks , but they are not always very flush with the roof of the unit and might be a few inches higher. But I guess it would be a good guess to say it will be 10' at the most ? I hope someone measured it already and comes forward. Next time I have it at a camp ground I am going to make sure I measure it.

My SV 263 is a little smaller, but the top of the AC is 9'10". I start to worry if a low clearance is 10'6".

The brochure gives the exterior height (roof edge) for your SV-263 as 8'2". adding a foot and an inch would make it 9'3" and that is 7" less than the actual height ..... so we are, in your case looking at 1'8" additional height with your AC unit, I might have a different one of course. Looks like I might be 10"4" high ! Yikes !!!!!! Maybe I cleared that bridge with and inch or two to spare at the most ! or maybe I did not ! I need to go up an a ladder and check the top of the AC

Goomph, even though my SV 263 is a 2008, the last year that it was listed in a brochure was dated 2007. That specified that a SV 263 was the same as the current listing for a Sv291......8'6". I have about 700 lbs. of "stuff" loaded in there, which might sink the torsion axles an inch or so. I took the measurements both by measuring to the roof edge and then the height of the AC, and by a scope level from both sides then divided by 1/2......just in case my trailer wasn't level. My wife says I am anal.

Hmmm, I looked at a 2007 Surveyor manual and that gave the roof line height as 8'2" for your trailer, that's how I came up with it. If your number is right, which I assume you also measured your roof line, I wasn't THAT close to the bridge makes me feel less uneasy now Thanks for sharing !

Nope, it looked different ... it was linked to from a dealer selling used units. I will see if I can locate it ... Our trailer were in different parts of the brochure.

Don't know what year your SV291 is, but you may be able to find a brochure here for 2007 and older units. Internet Archive Wayback Machine

mine measured in at approx 10'. You'll need at least 11' for that comfort clearance though.
