How Late Will You Go?

We live in the Seattle area and as Fall is kicking into full swing, we still have a few more trips planned in our trailer. We have a 3 nighter next weekend and then two weekends back to back before Thanksgiving. And possibly a trip Thanksgiving weekend. After that, I think I will shut it down for a few months and then open it back up in early March.

With where you live, how late (or early) in the year can you use your Surveyor?

We are in Missouri, our last trip of the year is usually about November 1
That is when I winterize it.

In the Northeast, going beyond Columbus weekend is pushing it. Most campgrounds around here close October 15th.

Clark,
Our camping group will go out again in two weeks to Anacortes, and start up again in April.
I have taken the TT south at times for various trips. I am fortunate in that I keep the Surveyor inside all winter and only drain the tanks. We live up the road from you near Bow.

Southern Nevada we camp year round. We just don't venture very far north of Las Vegas.

We are not full timer but live in north Georgia. We camp and go out all year long. Try to do it at lease once a month. Hard to do with our works schedules.

We are just north of you in White Rock BC. Just finished our last trip of the year. Depends on where we are going. We sometimes camp Canadian Thanksgiving ( this weekend) if we are staying low but we already have encountered snow in the passes so wrapping it up. Winterized today and off to Maui for 2 months on the 20th.
Enjoy your fall trips......it's a beautiful time of year😀

DW and I are retired and live in Southwest Louisiana, we can go year round, but prefer the cooler months.

Living in Southern California gives us relatively easy access to the sunbelt states. As long as we keep the altitude under 2500 feet or so, we can go camping all year.

Thanks for all the replies. It's fun to see where and how people use their trailers. I'm a bit jealous of the southern folks that can pull off camping year round. Our current storage is outdoors so protecting the trailer through the wet/cold season in WA is a must. I suppose if it was stored indoors, I would be more prone to do short, weekend trips that are above freezing.

Having our trailer since June, my family and I have had a blast in it. We are kind of dreading putting it away.

I shut down around June 1st and start again around October 1st. CGs are too crowded during summer months.

Cool

In Texas we don't start camping until Fall.

We will camp through Spring and maybe once or twice in the mild Summer months.

As mentioned here in New England pretty much every campground pulls the plug right after Columbus day weekend.
You can still find some of the areas KOA's open, but they will not have water or sewer connections available.

Some of us southerners are jealous of the cooler weather in the northern climates. I see posts about no a/c this year....I would be a 100 deg inside without a/c in the summer. We are SW Ar-NE Tx and Camp at thanksgiving..year before last our water froze one night. You never know here.

November 4th every year! My daughter has run at Cross Country States in Hershey, Pa for the past 3 years. Looking to go for a 4th year! That's our last camping adventure for the year. Any farther than that and it's either salt on the road freezing water.
