In Bar Harbor we stayed at the Oceanside KOA. It was okay, but looked like it could use some upkeep on the sites. The view was great, I'll post a photo as soon as I get my wife to send it to me from her phone. Don't call the registration number on the website. It is a national number and we ended up getting screwed out of the waterfront site we thought we were getting. Call the campground directly if you stay there. There are several others and we would pick a different one if we go back.
We cooked mostly at the camper although I would recommend the barbecue at the Atlantic Brewing Company. The beer is pretty good too.
They also had live music when we were there. Neither one of us eats fish.
The town of Bar Harbor was nice for shopping and views of the harbor. Mostly Acadia is what impressed us. We watched the sunrise from the top of Cadillac Mountain, walked the carriage paths, and hiked a few trails in the state park. It was really beautiful.
