Leveling -

Surveyor 20MBLE

When leveling side to side with my dual axel, I only place a leveling ramp under one wheel on the side that needs to lift. on the other tire on that side,.... nothing. Of course I then put a chock under all other tires for safety.

This is norm right.... that side to side leveling is done by one tire or wheel only?

Typically, you would put a block/leveler/ramp etc. under both wheels on one side.

If you only put a block under 1 wheel, you'll only get about half of the height of the block you use... ie-- if you put a 2" block under 1 tire, it will only raise that side up about 1 inch.

Thanks for comments... raises another issue ... with the leveling blocks or ramps supplied with my TT from dealer, there is not enough space between the two tires to put one of the ramps between them. So if I am pulling forward onto the leveling ramps/blocks or backing onto them, I would need to put a ramp between the two axel/tires. Not room for it? Am I explaining this clearly?

Not knowing what the dealer gave you as levelers we are guessing.
Maybe you have the Andersen Levelers?

If so you may have to cut part of one of them off if the wheels are too close together. Common issue and discussed many times.
Here is a link to a search... Anderson Leveler

Oh... and it is axle, not axel. Sorry... pet peeve.

I use 2*6"s and if I want about a quarter bubble lift I only put under 1 tire, half bubble, 2 tires and so forth till level. I use a 4' level on the floor of my 5th wheel just inside the door.

I carry 3 2x8's for each wheel, and one 1x8 for each wheel. That gets it close enough for me, LOL

I got a set of Beech Lane Levelers for christmas, so if those work out well, I might get to leave a few of my blocks at home and make some room in the pass through.

Also wanting to get a LevelMate PRO... Anybody use one of these?

I’ve got one. We never used it while parking at campsites where we would level manually. We only ever used it for boondocking where we didn’t necessarily want to unhitch. We’d just drive until we found the most level spot.

Camco makes a version of the Andersen that fits out of the box.

Every time someone talks about an "axel," I assume they're talking about ...

If yo have two levelers, you can trim one of them to fit in-between tires as in thread below.

I had to trim them to make them fit on our previous camper. The axles on our new one have more space so it’s not an issue.
