Manual Slide function SV-264

The wife and I bought a new 2012 SV-264 trailer. I have this fear of not being able to get the slide to retract while camping. I have read through the owners manual that came with the trailer and it doesn't state how to manually retract the slide. The trailer has an inclosed underbelly. Does anyone have a SV-264 and know how to manually operate the slide?

Thanks,
Burch

Not for sure on your model but on mine there's a hole on the opposite
side of the camper directly across from slide there's a hole in the fascia
to stick the manual crank in.

If your slide is not flush with the floor, it is probably the Lippert sofa slide like in my unit.

Here is the manual: http://www.lci1.com/OwnersManuals/Sl...0Slide-Web.pdf

You get to the manual over-ride by removing the front panel under the sofa. I used a hole saw to drill a hole in my front panel to get to the manual over-ride, but it shouldn't be a big hassle to just remove the panel...probably just 3 screws.

The Lippert sofa slide seems to be a great unit. We have never needed the manual over-ride....knock on wood.

The slide does have a sofa so I wonder if this is the same unit. It is only an 18" slide. The trailer is only 8 months old and the slide works fine but Murphy's law tends to apply to me. I have this fear of being ready to leave our site and the slide won't come in. I will take a better look this weekend.

As mtnguy has already mentioned, the drive for the slide will be under the sofa. We had a 2008 Rockwood 2605 which was a similar set-up. There'll be a hex shaped shaft out of the gearbox that fits the crank handle supplied with the camper. I'm not sure what the ratio of the gearbox is but you'd be hand-cranking for a long time. A socket on a 18V drill would work much better.

On our Rockwood, the sofa had a skirt that you'd lift to access that area...not sure how that area would be accessed on yours.

The slide worked okay on ours after I adjusted the stops. Initially the slide pulled in too far at the bottom which left the top of the slide open against the seal allowing water in at the top.

MetalGator, after your reccommendation we went ahead and bought an SV264. Ours had a wrench under the master bed that fits in a hole under the slide out sofa to manually operate the slide.
Thanks again, we haven't been out yet but we're pretty happy!
