Ours did not come with a Owners Manual, we can't figure out how to keep the table from tipping when made into a bed.
Don't really need it for sleeping, there's just 2 of us (unless he really pisses me off&#128540 but would like to lounge there to watch TV on occasion.
Any help out there?

Perhaps post a couple of pics of the table and it's mechanisms... might give some a better idea of what your problem is... There's someone out here in network land that's had the same problem, and can help...

Congrats on the new trailer! The manuals are here: http://www.forestriverinc.com/onlineownersmanuals/

The manuals are really generic, so I doubt it will address your particular table issue. I agree with schrederman. Post some pictures of the mechanism and someone will be able to help.

How did you get a brand new RV without an owners manual package?
I'd be calling that dealer real quick.
Should have given it to you during the PDI.

Our 260 has a small nipple underneath the table that slips into a small receptacle mounted on the rear seat of the dinette. Perhaps your 226 does as well.

We just bought 226RBDS in April and we love it. Be aware I just read today of a Forest River Surveyor recall. Something about the lug nuts can come off causing the wheels to come off. They are not going to announce the models until August 1. How stupid is that?

Pre Delivery Inspection. They should have done a walk through with you and showed you how everything works and answered any questions you have.

That might have happened, my husband picked it up without me.
I looked online at the owner manuals online, didn't have the answer I am looking for.
I'll take some pics and post them tomorrow
Happy 4th!

So, when we lower the table, to make the bed, the table tips
Is the strap suppose to hold it in place??
It's tearing up the cheap wood under the table from tipping.
Help!

I have a 2015 Surveyor Cadet 321BHTS and had the same problem when a friend slept over (fell off two times). The table top is smaller than the space allowed. The support boards on both sides have a support area of only about 1 in. each so if the table top moves sligjhtly, there is not enough "lip" left to support body weight. I installed 2 screws on each side to make the table center, thus keeping maximum supprot. Cheap fix but it works.

We found out this past weekend ours does not fit either. It will be fun having the dealer ship explain to us how this will work.

Funny to read this. Why? Because our strap was getting in the way and I removed it. Well, one night I ended up on the dinette because guests took the master bed. At 2 a.m., I crashed to the floor and woke the whole trailer. The table does not stay in place.

I planned to fabricate some sort of pin or something, but haven't figured it yet.

Oh, and it damaged the rails on mine some when it crashed down. On our last trailer, those same rails broke (I'm big), and I replaced them with 2x4's bolted in place...never fell again.

Wow. They need to figure out a better method. Looking at your pics, there is no leg room under that table either with all the posts in the way!!

having the same issue with ours on our first trip out ( my cousin stayed with us a couple days). we pulled the rear compartment cover off and put the table there and used it on the outside, with the strap underneath, slightly better, but not by much

my dealer agrees with me about the table but Forest River has denied the claim stating that the support is "adequate", which I find to be disappointing.
