Not sure what kind of information you're looking for exactly; but, I have the 247BHDS and can give a couple thoughts. Our purchase was made in comparison to the 245BHS.
1. I like that there is 2 paths front to back on the trailer. Bunkhouses have kids and kids move...A LOT!!! The island creates a good separation for people using the kitchen and the incidental "I need to go to the bathroom" or "I need to go onto my bed"
2. Overall length...You have to put a value on layout and where you're gaining or losing space. In this case, the 248 has a full walk around bed; however, that extra foot needed to make that bed a walk around is taken from the kitchen/living area.
3. In any of the trailers, the fridge is pretty much inaccessable unless a slide is out. It's just the reality of it.
4. The bathroom door in the 247 is very nice to have; but, the 248 has direct access so its a moot point.
5. The kitchen island in the 247 is a nice feature since you can cover the sink
(cover included) and make a serving buffet or eating area out of it.
6. If you like the outdoor kitchen, consider the 247. The BBQ alone is very cool and the sink slides out as well making it very useful. If you look at the BTU's for the 2 burner stove they put in those things, they are very pathetic. I love having the BBQ built in (less mess and stuff to pack). To fill the needs for the outside burners, I ended up buying a Camp Chef Everest stove. It puts out 3 times the heat of the stove burners inside the trailer and you have infinite control of the flame. And, the stove packs much easier than an awkward shaped, dirty BBQ.
The 248 has better viewing for TV.
The 248 also has better outdoor awning coverage. I love the 247 but a major downside is that the kitchen slide out takes up room outside.
In all reality, they are both very good layouts. We are a family of 4 (soon to be 5) with lots of room. We've also had 8 people in it for breakfast. It was a tight squeeze but with 5 at the table and 3 using the island as a bar, it worked well.
When it comes to deciding, get what you like for you and your family. If you like the Surveyor line, you've settled on a very nice line of trailers. The interiors are bright and they seem to be well built.
