New dining light

Finally changed out the dining light to this. Previously the dining light hung down and was maybe halfway between the ceiling & the table, with the naked bulb (no diffuser) basically right in front of my eyes when I'm sitting. This is much more compact and the bulb isn't glaring in my eyes.

Mine is like that also. And I keep saying "I'm gonna change that thing out" every time I hit my head on it. 11 years later, and I still knock my head on it. I just can't seem to get a "Roundtuit"!

If it wasn't the wife nagging about it I think I'd have waited too lol.

Amazon of course. And it's LED. Bunch of them in a ring, didn't take pic though.

Plenty of pics on the link you posted to Amazon. It also has a round switch on the side, so I'm sure I could put a dimmer switch on it.
Thanks for the post!

If a man says he will do it. He will do it.

You do not have to remind him every six months

Well, I got the first part of the Roundtuit done. I got the light. But I got the nickel bronze. Now I have to get a roundtuit and get it put in. Shouldn't really be a big deal. I'm guessing a 2, maybe 3 beer job. Then another beer or two to enjoy my handiwork! I will try and remember to take some before and after pics.

I got it done! Man, I feel good. It wasn't too bad, but the wiring was a little confusing. I had 9 white wires when I pulled it down. That was because mine was a 3 light system. 2 white wires coming from each light, and 3 more for ... something. The new light had 1 white wire, and 2 black wires. The black wires were easy to figure out, but it took some thinking to realize I only needed to tap into the white wires that were twisted together. The other wires were not needed, so I capped them, and voila. New light! Here is some before and afters.
