Paint issues on FR trailer

Our 2016 Surveyor (now 2 years old) paint on the front of our camper oxidized to the point that it had turned white. I contacted FR and was told that they would help to pay for this issue with $1000. towards a paint job. They admitted there was a problem with the UV rating on our paint. Unfortunately, we would still be out about $1200. So I contacted our dealer in Myrtle Beach were we bought it and they went to bat for us, getting a paint quote, sending photos (again) , etc. and FR covered the entire cost of getting the front of the cab painted and new decals.

I had the same problem on my 2016 Grey Wolf toy hauler. contacting them did nothing. They told me they ahd never heard of the problem and I must have washed it with something that caused the problem. The side were also getting the same type of spots. GOOD LUCK.
BYW, along with all the other problems I had, ramp door cracked, shower door crooked, and many interior blemishes, I ended up getting rid of it. No quality control at FR.

It most likely isn't paint but colored gel coat. A common problem with all makes. The only real solution is to have it painted with a quality automotive finish.

Paint issues on FR trailer

We had the same problem on our 2016 251 RKS, and was offered the $1000 also, our dealer wasn't as good as yours. We had the front cap wrapped, now it doesn't have decals. My insurance paid all but the deductible, cost was $840. We are happy.

Mine wasn't gel coat, but aluminum. From reading other forums it looks like FR had this problem on a lot of 2016 trailers. As far as i know, they would not help any of the owners and blamed it on the manufacturer of the panels.

This is a typical FR response.
They did offer to replace ll the defective pieces at MY COST.

FR painted my Surveyor's nose, no questions asked covered it 100%.
