Look under cabinets near where your city water supply is. Turn on the pump and see if you can isolate the sound. You might have to take a cabinet panel off to get to it. State the model of your Surveyor, and you may find someone with that same unit that can direct you directly to the water pump.

We actually have the 04 owners manual posted here on the site as a
word document file. However it is VERY generic and not model specific. Post your model number and it will be easier to help you. On my Flagstaff 26RKS it is under the front bed next to the water tank

In our 2007 SV291, the water pump is under the bathroom cabinet. you have to remove the false bottom of the cabinet from the inside( 2 screws on each side).

Thanks to all for the great suggestions. We are heading out in a bit to check for the water pump. The model we own: the Forest River SV291 Surveyor.

Mine is under the vanity in the bathroom. It had 2 small screws on each side of the panel. I added a similar knob in the center of the of the panel and placed a piece of velcro on each corner so you do not have to mess with the tiny screws when you winterize or change the filter. works great.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We were able to locate the pump and were successful in replacing the unit. we used the suggestions and replaced the panel screws with velcro. Great ideas from all.

It located wherever the guy at the factory wanted to install it, and maybe he hooked up the wiring and made sure the fittings were secured.

The water pump on my SV264 is in the kitchen, below counter tops, behind a false cabinet.
