Surveyor 220 spare cover and stove cover

Some of you guys expressed interest in the hard plastic spare tire cover I had with my previous Surveyor 186. I got this from the factory for the old trailer and kept it for my new Surveyor 220. The gold matched the wheel well skirts and propane cover on the old camper.

On the new one, the skirts and propane cover and many of the accessories outside are black, and I think this would look better in black on the new camper, but the gold does match the graphics, so it looks okay.

This was on the 2010 Surveyor, so I'm not sure if they still make them in either gold or black, but you could check with the factory if interested.

I also have shots of the stove cover my wife put together. It' a bamboo cutting board, and she got curtain rod end pieces and screwed them onto the bottom so it sits solidly on the burner rack. Great for additional counter space and as a cutting surface. When burners are in use, we slide it between the foot of the bed and the entertainment center.

We used this on the old camper as well, and you can see where we had to relocate a couple of the feet to fit on the new camper, because they redesigned the rack. I'm going to remove the flimsy metal folding stove cover because this is much better, and the cover, when raised up, blocks access to the knife rack.

Nice! They should really bring back that tire cover. All I got was a plain black vinyl one.

Did you check with Forest River? Maybe there's a chance they are still offering them. It was an option when I got that one back in 2010. Some units came to my dealer with them and some didn't.

My 07 came with one in silver, same as the LP bottle cover and lower corner caps. Can't use the cover on the new tire. The new tire is just a wee bit larger outside diameter (starge, since it is the same soze tire). Ugh! I am holding onto the cover in hopes the next set of tires will allow it to go back on.

This hard cover was one of the little extra things I liked about the Surveyors.
