Exclamation Surveyor 291 Service

Hi there. Im new to this forum. I am trying to find out how the Cable and Satellite wiring are in the RV that I am working on. It is a SV-291. I know where the cable comes in from the outside but I'm not sure how the Satellite one connects. If anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

I just have one connection on my 2008 291. I asked the dealer if it was Sat capable and he said ??????.

I am guessing no.

If there are two connections on the out side of the camper, then there well be two at the entertainment center and one in the bed room. the two out side and two at the entertainment center will be mark, " ant " and " cable ". The one marked cable is also for satellite, the one in the bed room is for antenna only.

If it has satellite "Prep" it will have two cables and one will be marked as such.

I believe your 291 only has one cable and it's for cable tv. It goes from the outside F connector to the antenna amplifier. Satellite requires a DC voltage be passed through the cable to the dish which the antenna amplifier blocks. You'll need to either modify the cabling at the amplifier or run a separate cable for the satellite. A separate cable is the best way but it's a pain to install in most RV's so most people just modify the cabling at the amplifier and it works ok.

Any info on how to change the cabling at the amplifier?
