Axle Riser Kit
Surveyor offers an axle riser kit that can raise the trailer frame 3-3/4" off the axles without voiding any warranties. This axle riser kit only works with the torsion axles as the leaf spring suspensions can be flipped. Consult your local Surveyor dealer for this option.

dealer says they don't offer a "lift" kit. I will inquire again and call it an axle riser kit.
Thanks!

Bikemann911...tell your dealer to look at the list of options available when ordering a new Surveyor. It's listed...I know because I had to turn it down because of height limitations where I store my trailer.

It should not take the dealer that long to install the axle riser kit, it's a pretty simple process of jacking the trailer up and putting it on jack stands, unbolting the axles and bolting in the axle riser then bolting the axles back up. All in all I would guess maybe 2 hours of labor plus the parts which are just steal brackets. Hope this helps!

Don't forget another very important part and that is re-aligning the axles to make sure they are both straight with each other and aligned with the tongue so the trailer doesn't "dog track" and wear the tires out. Would go with my original estimate of 6-8 hrs to do it properly. I agree maybe 2-3hrs to just bolt the parts on.

Just got the camper back from the dealer. In the end, went with the axle riser kit, there's no room on the frame for drag wheels because the stablizer jacks are all the way at the back of the I beam. The conversation with the dealer went something like this ... who told you about the "lift kit"? "read about in Forest River Forum" "I'll call the manufacturer tomorrow"! Wow what a difference. Think I'll have to carry 4x4 blocks to make up the difference with the jacks, but overall I'm happy.

I'm glad your dealer was able to help you out. What did the dealer charge for adding the axle riser kit?

I'll try to get some pics, but not 'till tomorrow. It was $370 installed.

Sorry it's taken so long. before is in prevous post and here's after. I know it's not parked the same place but the clearance around the wheel wells is obvious.

Hi Bikeman911. I have the same trailer, and think I will inquire about getting this mod done as well.
Have you (or anyone else with this riser kit installed) noticed any differences when towing or stability when camping? I imagine I will need to adjust my EQ hitch.
Thanks

I really don't notice any difference. Maybe 6x6 blocks under the levelers. My dealer told me it wasn't available too! Make them call FR or call them yourself. It's worth it not to have to worry about dragging the rear of the camper off!

Nice! I thought there was a riser kit. And $370 is well worth it. Glad you were able to solve your issue.
And Surveyor does have a nice and real I-beam frame.

Ahh, now I see for new orders on the 2013's the SV models will have the equa-flex LEAF spring suspension, not the torsion axles. Hence no axle riser option!

We have a 264, this option is available from the factor or dealer installed.
Since we back county camp, I have the dealer install the risers before we took deliver, so I can’t comment on towing before, but we have not had any towing issues..
The risers are not available for the following;
Axle Risers (N/A SV300, SV301,
SV302, SV303, SV304 & SV305)
