TV mount point in 243 RBS

As mentioned in my new members post, I'll be getting a Surveyor 243 RBS Real Soon Now (tm). Is there a location in the bedroom to install an LCD TV mount?

There should be backing on the center of the entertainment center wall for a tv mount. Looking at structure between the pocket doors, there is some plywood that can be used as a backer to put screws into.

You must watch that you don't interfere with the "Pocket Doors" area! In some TT they had Hinged doors and that Entertainment Wall for the TV "Turned/Rotated so 1 TV could be used in Bedroom or Living room! Youroo!!

That's what I'm trying to say. If you get a TV mount, use the top and bottom center holes only and mount it directly below the cable and power outlet. pocket doors (pushed in the wall) still leave an area in the centerline of the wall at least a few inches wide.

Hi Mark, we recently bought the same camper! We will be installing a tv on that wall soon. Have you already purchased yours? Just looking for any suggestions.

Yes, there is space for a TV. Mine also has an outlet and cable connection, same wall as pocket doors.

nmccoy, our 243 RBS is in the process of being built. We expect to take delivery the beginning of March give or take a couple of weeks.

That was the pre-2014 240 RBS. It had accordion doors to the bedroom back then. I wish they still had that feature.

We have a 243RBS and I want to put a tv in the bedroom as well. Any suggestions on a mount and tv size that you used? Pictures would be great.

Word is we'll get the trailer on or about the first week of March. I'll post details once we get it and have a chance to do the install.

We'll be using a small LCD we already have on hand.

24" Samsung Smart TV on sale at Costco for $114.99
TV LINK

Basic, TV wall mount. Has holes for 2 bolts to mount directly into the backing material just under the provided outlet and cable jack and not interfere with the pocket doors. $7 on Amazon

Couldn't you use what is already attached to the TV, take it off the TV, mount it to a swing arm and then mount the TV to the swing arm?

You can buy another mount directly from Surveyor. That way they all match. I use the TV from our bedroom on the outside mount as it is much easier to take in and out than the main TV. Just call their parts department and they can set you up.

L&W engineering. They also have a table that you can put on that same block. Click image for larger version

I purchased that exact mount directly from L&W. Took a little time to get in but it is a nice mount. I will say that extra bracing is needed when using it. Even though the televisions are very light now, the KeBlocs have a tendency to just pull away from the structure as manufactured both inside and outside.

Did you ever end up doing this? We just purchased our 243RBS. The outlets are on the ceiling rather than on the pocket door wall on the newer models, so I'm curious if this changes things.

I haven't done it yet however, I just checked with a stud finder. The 'stud' the main room
TV is mounted to is available to the bedroom. I expected that to be the case but, I checked to be sure.
