2012 wolfpack wp27 keyless entry

We just bought a 2012 wp27. It came with keyless entry. The key pad is about 12 inches to the left of the door latch on the side of the camper. I can not find any instructions on how to program it. It does not light up or do anything when you touch the key pad. The person i bought it from had it 8 years and never used it. In fact he said it locked on its own one time so he took the latch apart and unhooked it. I took the latch apart and hooked it all back up. I saw on some of the fourms people mentioned replacing the batteries every year. I could not find any batteries. Does anyone know how to program this and if it requires batteries? I would sure appreciate it.
