Question 26 RR Cabinet Lift Supports

I need to install the lifts/struts on my upper cabinets that will keep the swing up cabinet doors open. Can anyone recommend a particular type/brand and what support pressure for best results?

My thanks in advance for the help.

I put those same struts in my camper, unfortunately when I went to close the door it tore the bottom bracket out. Because of the thickness of cabinet face I could only put two screws in and with it being particle board it didn't have a chance. The struts seem pretty hard to close. Normal? Anyone have to beef up the area to mount the bottom bracket? Pics? Thanks for any feedback.

I had the same issue on one of mine. I went with longer screws, but I don't think that's going to hold up any better.

What about using non-mortise concealed spring hinges?

I had mine tear out the wood a bit so I backed the uprights of the cabinets with some dressed 2 X 1 screwed on from behind and that seems to have solved the problem.
